Cat-Lady Helpers

We cat-ladies must really look out for each other if there's to be any hope of out-smarting our cats. So, with this in mind, I share with you a new product on the market. http://www.pledge.com/fabric-sweeper/

I did buy one, although getting furniture which blends nicely with hair is more practical. I am testing out the sweeper on the cats directly. They don't mind.

Santino's former mom suggested I feed him yogurt for his stinky breath and stinky butt syndrome, and and it took some time to locate it unflavored. When I unpacked my grocery sacks, Santino was right there, and you can imagine my excitement, I'm sure. "Oh, my sweet, I brought you a treat!", I said and he

Have any of you found a cat-English dictionary? I need one! I can't tell you what Santino said about the yogurt because I haven't a clue as to how to spell it. I can imagine what he meant, though, and you probably can, too. I have a trick up my sleeve, though. Since I have trouble keeping him out of my breakfast plate, tomorrow it will have yogurt mixed in with the cottage cheese he wants.

Besides my needing the dictionary, I also would like to find out how to stop horizontal scratching of furniture and carpeting. Help!

  2. No, he was not delighted at all! However, this morning he stole some off my breakfast plate. Perhaps, he thought I had purchased a new brand of cottage cheese.:-) I can't lose on this one. If he doesn't like what's on my plate then I will be able to eat my breakfast in peace.

  3. Hey Chaska...
Our Sophie LOVES yogurt...she & Phil share a bit each & every night. We buy Dannon & it's the fruit on the bottom one...she even likes a bit of the fruit flavor in it & it hasn't hurt her...we've been doing this for years. Her favorite flavor is banana-strawberry! She will sit & stare at Phil if she hasn't had her yogurt that night!
I hope Santino warms up to it...and I know how kitties love cottage cheese...but Sophie just likes to lick the liquid stuff off of it...she won't touch the actual curds. Quite a picky little girl!

  4. Oh...one more thing...Sophie LOVES to be "massaged" with the tape rollers that I've been using to get the cat hair...but I've been thinking of trying this new Pledge gadget...does it really work directly on the cats? It seems more "green" than throwing away all those pieces of hair covered tape.

  5. Another cat-lady who has many more cats than I do thinks this gadget is the best thing ever, but I am not as impressed.

  6. So, I should have bought flavored yogurt? I am now eating my breakfast in peace. Santino learns quickly.
